Jigar V. Shah is Institute for Industrial Productivity’s Executive Director. Jigar has over 25 years of experience in Energy Efficiency and Cleaner Production for the manufacturing sector. Prior to joining IIP he was at the International Finance Corporation (the World Bank Group) and was responsible for developing a worldwide program for Cleaner Production in IFC’s Climate Change Practice to assist clients in undertaking climate friendly investments — energy efficiency, water management, and resource conservation.
His work history includes: Engineer for a major oil company, Consultant to utilities, chemical and petroleum companies, Energy Manager for aluminum plants in Russia, Head of London Office for an international energy consultancy. Jigar has a PhD in Chemical Engineering and taught graduate courses in Sustainable Energy as an Adjunct Professor at McMaster University, Canada, and George Washington University, Washington D.C.
