Dr. Riad Ziour is one of the two co-founders of Openergy, a start-up dedicated to energy simulation of buildings in operation.
Riad started his career in 2009, at the R&D department of GDF SUEZ, a world leading utility company. There, he realized that there was a huge discrepancy between, on the one hand, the power of the energy simulation software used during the building design phase, and on the other hand, the total lack of simulation tools for actual buildings in operation.
Riad brings to Openergy his very strong scientific background: he holds a PhD in Theoretical Physics from Paris Diderot University (2010), as well as a M.Sc. from Columbia University (2006) and a B.S. from Ecole Polytechnique, France (2005). Aside from his main positions at GDF SUEZ and Openergy, Riad’s expertise has lead him to teach Energy courses for several years at Paris Diderot University and Supaéro, a French leading aerospace engineering school
