Vivien Mallet, Researcher – INRIA

VivienVivien Mallet is a research scientist at INRIA. He is also affiliated with the Research and Teaching Center in Atmospheric Environment, a joint laboratory between EDF R&D and École des Ponts ParisTech. His research focuses on the assimilation of observational data in complex environmental systems. He investigates the quantification of uncertainties in environmental forecasts, and develops methods to reduce these uncertainties, using simulation models and observational data. He deals with different applications including atmospheric dispersion, air quality and wildland fires.

Vivien Mallet graduated from École Centrale de Lyon, obtained a master degree in numerical analysis from École Normale Supérieure de Lyon, and received his PhD in applied mathematics from École des Ponts ParisTech in 2005.
